DESCRIPTION:Every month\, I host a roundtable that brings together top minds in the learning and development space to network\, learn\, and support each other as we all keep up with the latest in the Learning and Development space and grow our organizations. Join us virtually or in person (at the UN in Nairobi)\, and enjoy access to an engaged\, excited group of your peers along with access to my portal of resources and 6+ years of meetings! \n\n\nWorkshop Title: Did it\, Done\, Do it again\n\n\nThis month’s workshop is all about Learning Culture.\n\nReally\, do it again? The same way? Yes and No. Join the next Roundtable to learn how you can take what you did and how you did it and turn into learning for you\, your teammates\, your Organization. You’ll never just do it again\, you’ll do it better. And you’ll learn about how to build a learning culture to boot.\n\nKate McBride’s (this month’s speaker / bio below) learning culture includes:\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHave fun\nSolve problems\, don’t admire them\nCelebrate crossing the finish line\nCapture the good\, not so good at the finish line celebration\nPrep for the next project\, starting with the celebration notes (lessons identified)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSpeaker Bio:\nMs. Kate McBride was appointed to the position of Chief\, Information and Communication Technology Service (ICTS)\, in UNON. The position also includes serving as Chief for the Regional Technology Centre – Africa. \n  \nKate started her UN career in 1998 with the World Food Programme in Rome as an information systems officer\, followed by a secondment to the UN mission in Kosovo\, and then appointments in Departments of Peacekeeping Operations and Field Support and most recently in the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). \n  \nIn Peacekeeping\, Kate implemented a peacekeeping wide approach to delivering information services to field and HQ entities including the establishment of information management capacity in the UN 24×7 Situation Centre and embedded GIS services in field operations. In OCHA\, Kate led the development and transformation of OCHA’s global ICT network enabling OCHA to respond and operate with cloud based information services and scalable\, light technologies.
