SUMMARY:Learning and Development Roundtable - AI Prompting Skills: How to Ask Better Questions and Get Better Results
DESCRIPTION:  \nYou’ve tried AI. You’ve typed in a bunch of questions. And what came back was… fine. Generic. A little flat. Not quite what you were hoping for. \nSound familiar? \nThe problem isn’t AI.  \nThe problem is the prompt. \nMost of us were never taught how to actually talk to AI\,  how to ask for what we need in a way that gets results worth using.  \nSo we type something vague\, get something vague back\, and quietly wonder if everyone else has figured this out already. (Spoiler: they haven’t. They’re just as lost and just as reluctant to admit it.) \nHere’s the good news: prompting is a skill. And like any skill\, it can be learned\, practiced\, and yes\,  even enjoyed. \nIn this hands-on\, practical Roundtable\, we move past the theory and get into the how. How to frame your requests. How to avoid the most common prompting pitfalls. And how to start building a personal prompt library you’ll actually reach for. \nIn this free workshop on June 18th\, with me\, Lee-Anne Ragan\, you’ll:\n\nIdentify what’s been getting in the way of getting great results from AI and fix it\, on the spot\nDiscover the prompting definitely do’s that make all the difference\, and the dastardly don’ts that are sabotaging your results\nGet ideas for prompts tailored to your work so you leave with something immediately useful\nPractice in small groups with real prompts and real tasks\, because reading about prompting and doing it are two very different things\nBegin building your own personal prompt library\, a living resource you’ll use and add to long after the Roundtable ends\nGain access to 13+ years of Learning and Development Roundtable resources\nCount the workshop towards your annual UN professional development (if you’re UN staff — but know that you don’t have to be a UN staff to attend\, any and all are welcome)\n\nNote:  \n\nThis session stands alone\, but if you’d like a running start\, watching the recent “From Generic to Genius” Roundtable beforehand is a great idea. Come knowing what you’d like AI to help you with and be prepared to practice. \n\n\nThe link to “From Generic to Genius” will be sent out to everyone who registers for this Roundtable.\n\nRSVP using this link  by June 16th. Then watch your inbox for our agenda and how to participate online. \nPlease note the dates and times alternate each month so as to reach more people in various time zones at their request. And please double check the time in your timezone because\, well\, timezones are tricky.  Use 10 am EAT as your comparison. \n\n8-9:30 am London\n9-10:30 am Paris/Rome\n10-11:30 am Nairobi\, Beirut\, Mogadishu\, Amman\n11-12:30 pm Abu Dhabi\n12:45-2:15 pm Kathmandu\n3-4:30 pm Manila\n4-5:30 pm Fukuoka\n\nCan’t make it live? Don’t worry\, by registering\, you’ll get access to the recording. \nIf you’ve just realized with dread that the time is untenable for you this month\, don’t worry\, as long as you’re a Learning and Development Roundtable member (membership is free) you’ll get access to the audio and (timestamped) video recordings\, workbook and more. \nTake action now –> Become a member to receive invitations to the monthly Roundtables\, and get access to all the learning resources.  And don’t forget to  RSVP for this roundtable by June 16th.
