Learning and Development Roundtable: Harnessing Tech Tools for Turbulent Times Part Two

May 15, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm UTC+3

L&D Tech Tools

In these turbulent, trying times we are apart but that doesn’t mean we have to be isolated.  Tech tools can help bring us together, they can help us connect, bridge and help us feel like we belong.  Seriously.

Based on popular demand, building on last month’s Roundtable, we’re back for part Two of Harnessing Tech Tools for Turbulent Times.

Ever felt so frustrated that you wanted to throw tech in the toilet?  While tech tools can definitely make us feel anxious and overwhelmed this May’s Learning and Development Roundtable will help you get a handle on those feelings by harnessing tech to help you (no that’s not a typo). Instead of feeling heckled by tech, and out of control, we’ll have fun demonstrating a bunch of tools that will put you back in the driver’s seat, feeling calm, competent and confident.

“It’s using the technology, and being creative with it, and solving problems that people have or creating something beautiful with it.”
Limor “Ladyada” Fried — MIT Graduate and Owner of DIY electronics company Adafruit

Getting a handle on tech is a must today but that doesn’t mean it has to be painful or stressful.  Come and discover a whole new world of how tech can help you get more ease, efficiency and productivity.  So you can get on with being of service and doing what you do best.

“Technology is best when it brings people together.”
Matt Mullenweg, Social Media Entrepreneur, Developer of WordPress

In this free workshop with Lee-Anne Ragan you’ll

  • Review four ways to be in charge of tech (instead of it controlling you), which includes figuring out if you are an armadillo, turtle, duck or dolphin and why it’s SO important to know when you’re using tech tools.

  • Discover 3 categories of tech tools with demos of tools in each category: tools for research and listening, tools for communication and learning and tools for ease and efficiency.

  • Experience the magic and feel transformed as we pull back the curtain and demystify tech.

  • Discover the use and usefulness of tech in your work (and personal life) and get access to resources with all the tech tools we’ll cover.

  • Count the workshop towards your annual UN-Mandated training (If you’re a UN staff)

“Technology will never replace great teachers but technology in the hands of great teachers is transformational.” – George Couras
