Did you know that for thirteen years, I’ve been convening folks from around the world for a free, monthly Learning and Development Roundtable on a range of interesting and engaging topics that members have asked for?
Our community is a global group of diverse social change-makers and game-changers who are committed to learning, making a difference, connecting, and contributing.

Hot tip: If you are a UN staff member, all the Roundtables you attend count towards your annual professional development requirement.
Annnnd everyone is welcome, not just UN staff.
And while our last roundtable has been held for 2025, don’t worry if you missed out; there’s a whole bunch of new ones cued up for 2026.
On with the summary of what we covered in 2025 from January to May by topic and learning objectives. (Next week, Part Two, will cover the Learning and Development Roundtables from June to December.)
But first, know that all Learning and Development Roundtable members gain access to 13+ years of learning resources, and again, if you’re a UN staff member, you can count the workshop towards your annual professional development requirement.
And be sure to stay tuned. Next week, I’ll share the rest of 2025’s Roundtables.
Now on with the Roundtable 2025 roundup.
Design a customized learning plan for 2025 that fits you and your team to a T and increases your ROI

How to have those difficult conversations that you’re dreading

Personalities and Team Work: Communicate Better, Resolve Conflict Easier, and Lessen Misunderstandings with Life Lenses®
March had us laser-focused on reducing conflict and amping up communication using my Life Lenses® tool. ‘Cause who wouldn’t benefit from that?!
- Discover the eight Life Lenses® and which ones appeal to you the most
- Illuminate your ‘natural’ perspectives – and see where you shine when it comes to conflict, communication, team building, project management, and more
- Uncover how you can communicate with lenses (a.k.a. your team members) that are different from yours (and why that’s so important)
- Learn how to avoid the very natural and very strong temptation to stick to your own lenses
How to (actually) increase your resilience, your grit, and your ability to manage change
It’s a hard time for so many around the globe right now, so in April, we focused on simple tips and tools to make a difference to your ability to be resilient, manage change, and be ‘gritty.’
- Diagnose where you most need support so you can apply your learning to suit those very needs
- Discover six simple tools to help you increase your resilience, your grit, and your ability to manage change
- Come away feeling inspired and hopeful, with a workbook chockablock full of helpful resources, including the audio and video recording, and one simple URL that opens up all the workshop resources

Tips and tools to increase your work-life balance/integration
Before we took a break for the summer or winter (depending on where you were on the planet), May’s Learning and Development Roundtable dove into that elusive work-life balance/integration, not so elusive.
- Put the elusive myth of work-life balance to bed for good and replace it with a healthier, more realistic, and practical outlook
- Come to understand some of the best research when it comes to work-life balance and integration
- Know thyself with a simple tool designed to uncover how you’re currently dealing with work-life balance and how you can create more relaxation and balance, and less fear and anxiety.
- Take action with one simple skill designed to decrease your stress and increase your wellness
- Map three types of stressors and where you’re at with your ‘buckets,’ in order to create a customized work-life balance plan that fits you.
I’m so grateful for all the wonderful Learning and Development Roundtable members who participated in 2025 from all over the globe. Thank you!
