I’ve a BIG announcement to share, plus a grateful and creative thank you, a little gift, and some prose I wrote for you.
I invite you to cast your mind back to the fall of 2012. What were you doing? Me, I was packing up my family and my life in Canada and, taking a huge leap of faith, while moving to Kenya.
Ostensibly for one year.
If you do the math, you’ll know that it’s now 14 years later.
And once again, I’m packing my bags for some new adventures.

Yes, it’s with mixed feelings that I’m announcing I’m moving from beloved Kenya.
What does that mean for you?
Have no fear; not much will change. I will definitely, 100%, thoroughly, and completely continue to:
- Serve you, my readers, members, and clients, by designing and delivering custom workshops
- Run my free, monthly, online Learning and Development Roundtables
- Share my weekly newsletter
- Deliver my NEW, monthly, online membership, Transformative Trainers Academy, for change makers and game-changers who are tired of flat, forgettable training and want to be part of a movement to change the way the world learns. (TTA turns your ideas into workshops that wow while increasing your influence, income, and impact.)
As I pack up my life here in Kenya, I’m also packing treasured, once-in-a-lifetime memories. And that includes memories with you.

Thank you SO very, very much for being an integral part of my Kenyan journey.
To show my gratitude, I’ve made you a playlist with the top songs from the last 14 years in Kenya.
Also, you may know that I love to write prose, so I couldn’t leave Kenya without some musings…
You may ask, other than you, dear one, what I will miss.
I’ll miss….

Giraffe and Jacaranda trees
The UN and ultra-regular sunrise and sunset times
Lions and Leopards
Mangos, monkeys, and amarula
Bougainvillea and birds of paradise
Palm trees and the paced, pole pole, life
Chapattis and cheetahs
Warthogs and the weather
Safaris and sundowners
Fundis and friends
Dancing Queens and dung beetles
Geckos and gazelles
Alliance Francaise and Asante
The Indian Ocean and impalas
Kitenge, kioi and kanga
For wheel driving and far-flung fabulous adventures
It’s been an amazing journey these past fourteen years, and I’m so grateful you were a part of it. My younger self could never have imagined this life, getting to work with change-makers like you.
I wish you all the best in these tumultuous times, and I sincerely hope and trust that our paths will continue to cross. As always and as usual, don’t hesitate to reach out if I can be of service. Cheers. Stay well, stay safe, stay creative.
